Education Mr. Johnson holds a PhD in finance from the University of Nebraska (dissertation title: Three Essays on Executive Compensation), an MBA in finance from Creighton University, and BSBA in finance from the University of Nebraska.
Designation Awarded the CFA designation, September 1990
Professional Experience Mr. Johnson joined CFA Institute in September 1996 as vice president responsible for the curriculum process of the CFA Program. He was promoted to senior vice president in December 1998. He is currently deputy CEO for CFA Institute and remains responsible for the CFA and CIPM Programs administration and development. In addition, Mr. Johnson also manages the association's professional ethics initiatives. Prior to working at CFA Institute, he was a professor of finance at Creighton University, president of JBK Capital Management, and a financial consultant for Kutak, Rock & Campbell.
