The 2020 edition of the GIPS standards was recently released for public comment through the end of 2018. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn why the GIPS standards are being updated and the significant proposed changes including those that have been proposed to meet the needs of alternative investment managers, managers of pooled funds and asset owners. Attendees will be able to ask questions about the exposure draft.   

Sidney Hardee is the Managing Partner of Hardee Brothers, LLC and Investment Advisor for the Probabilities Fund, LLC . He has a broad base of experience in the areas of fixed income sales and trading, derivatives research, quantitative analysis, and portfolio management.

Mr. Hardee is a former Trading Manager at the Bank of NT Butterfield in Bermuda where he led their fixed Income and derivatives trading initiatives. He began his career as a Market Analyst at Salomon Brothers focused on European Bond Markets. Later he joined Lehman Brothers in both New York and London as a Bond Trader. He was also a Vice President in both the Credit Markets Trading and Global Rates Strategy groups at JPMorgan.

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), member of the Alternative Investments committee of the New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA) and a member of the United States Investment Performance Committee (USIPC) for the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). He is also a member of the Board of Advisory for the Master of Science Program in Financial Risk Management at the University of Connecticut School of Business.

Kenneth Robinson is a Director in the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®) area at CFA Institute. Mr. Robinson helps maintain the GIPS through management of the interpretations process, developing guidance for new technical areas, working extensively with volunteer committees, promulgating the GIPS standards and serving as a thought leader. Prior to joining CFA Institute, Mr. Robinson was a director in the investment management audit practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.  Mr. Robinson is a member of the Quantitative Investing Subcommittee of CFA Society Boston, the Performance Measurement Committee of NCREIF, and the GIPS Task Force of the NCREIF PREA Reporting Standards. Mr. Robinson has served as an appointed member of the North American Investment Performance Committee of CFA Institute, the Interpretations Subcommittee of the GIPS Executive Committee, and the Investment Performance Standards Task Force of the AICPA. Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Indiana University.
