Tom Landstreet, Founder of Standard Research, publisher of Connecting the Dots institutional research. Co-founder of Tell-tale Capital Corp., a money management firm.

Tom spent 13 great years as an institutional equity salesman. He spent 8 years at Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta and later ran sales at Avondale Partners. Alas, deteriorating industry economics had him rethinking his future when Arthur Laffer, Ph.D moved on his street in Nashville.

Tom joined Laffer Associates as an EVP where he worked closely with Art Laffer for nearly 5 years. He ran sales, was responsible for much of the research output, wrote a popular weekly economic commentary and more.

In October 2011, Tom founded Standard Research Corp. to make Dr. Laffer’s research more valuable to institutional investors. Like Laffer, Tom’s team analyzes monetary, fiscal, trade and regulatory policies to determine how they affect the economy and prices. Government policies affect asset prices more directly than most investors realize and Tom will seek to prove it with just a few charts.

Tom is a Forbes contributor and frequently speaks at investor conferences as well as at universities as a guest lecturer. Tom serves on the board of several non-profits and is a married father of three well-behaved children. Plays in a rock band, enjoys golf and mountain biking.
